Owner say's the set of cylinders with tape over them have had the stock liner 1.0mm Nikasil sprayed. New to me but it seems some people go this route to avoid boring out to next oversize? May be an issue with aluminum threads after acid bath? Anyone have input about this?

I almost had a heart attack when this was originally posted. I was in the midst of negotiating a deal with the seller on a separate unadvertised engine before the parts were posted on the forum. He could have easily have offered and sold everything to the same buyer but he kept it for me. Thankfully the seller is a very honest stand up guy and even drove a long way to meet me and do the transaction yesterday. There are some great people out there in these circles. Thanx Rob!

No offence intended I was just nervous for a bit and wanted to relate my experience. I had the chance to buy them before you posted it. I would have bought it all if I hadn't just bought a wood fired gasifying boiler for my house. As it is they were snapped up fast once you posted it and why not, It was a great deal. In hindsite I wish I did to keep the parts in Canada.
