RZ500 and RZV500 restore and rebuild

Just finished up another set today..
Removed all the glass and cleaned it up and repainted the needles, Its a Gamma thing, The needles fade really badly. Replaced the idiot light decal...
The WW set I did a year ago...

Great job Paul. I did the exact same here not long ago and know the effort it takes.

How did you do the warning light decal? I had to sand mine off and worked my way up to 3000 wet and dry and then applied the new decal. I was wondering if there was an easier way.

Thanks guys. That’s exactly what I did John.
I picked the worst of the idiot lights and sanded it with 400 grit on a flat surface. Then up to 800, 1000 and then 1500. Finished it off with car polish till it looked like new and then fitted the decal. Took forever!!!!

The RZV is up and running at last, Been busy finishing an LC350 and building a Hybrid RZ350 with RGV running gear..
Every single nut and bolt, bearing, seal etc has been replaced with Gen Yamaha, Engine got new Bill Wilson cranks and pistons, Bores are ported and well opened up, Carbs are PWK28s with Bill Wilson filters and throttle cable, Pipes are BTs, Just have to drill and fit the lower cans,
This was the first start, took about 3-4 kicks, Started up really easy!!!

Now the problem is getting it painted, My painter has My LC bodywork since Dec 20th and still not done!!!
I need to find a new painter as this is getting a bit ridiculous.

Yep, First ride in 20 years or so, Previous owner stripped the bike to do god know what and it sat in a box since, Im using Chinese bodywork till mine is painted, The last pic is of my LC which I finished at Christmas, My painter has the bodywork since then and he only started on it this week, lol... Thats why I stuck the cheapo kit on,
Took longer to fit that crap than it did to build the bike!!!!!!
Just getting it to line up!!!
5 mile shakedown and no leaks, nothing fell off, Runs like a champ, I'm happy
