I heard about that guy in BC.

He has built a few other bikes but my favourite is a Harris framed HRC600 Honda single about 65hp I think, just gorgeous. Hi end components like the WW, I've got a photo somewhere. Did you hear the story about the deal? It's pretty surreal for me even a year later!

Did you ever sort out Ontario ownership for them?

I never seem to find the time to get to the Japanese Legal Translator in Toronto to get the orange Japanese ownership papers "Officially" translated.

Jumping through hoops for MTO. There is a translator in Belleville, so no need to go far here. You should be able to mail the paperwork to a translator if there isn't one close to you. I would have expected there to be someone in North Bay. Perhaps a lawyer's office can direct you to someone.

What about the issue of how to register and insure them, being that they aren't really what the VIN says they are. Do you register them as modified RGV250s? With the insurance, the first thing they ask is if the bike is modified. They would need an appraisal anyway because the RGV isn't in their books. At least my company did for my stock RGV.

A friend that gets it done occasionally told me I could mail them but would have to pick them up, possibly to be witnessed and notarized? The RGV/TZR/NSR JDM bikes are only covered by a few companies, one being Jevco. Hopefully modified or custom would be allowed. Not sure if Hagerty covers custom types? One that I almost bought was registered as an RGV250 and insured as such though I don't know if the insurance was aware of the engine size?

Hagerty Canada does not insure motorcycles. Hagerty US does.
