YPVS motor relocation.

Hi Guys.
I need to relaocate my powervalve motor compared to standard (after-market chassis).
I know a few here have mounted the motor forward of the headstock amongst other places but Im damned if I can find the threads for these bikes now.
Does anyone have an opinion as to powervalve cable length? Should it be standard length for a specific reason or can I have cables made to suit and simply mount the motor at whatever distance from the powervalves is most convenient for me? I'm guessing I can (within reason) but would love to hear your thoughts.
Anyone who can link me to the existing thread of someone who has already played this ame has the option of marrying my sister.
