Ronnie - Nick's right... we got 2 full laps in anger....

Actually it is not even close to a "parade" lap - that's why it's so much fun to do. Yamaha being a major sponsor of the event gets to go first for the manufacturer laps and we got to do two full laps - everyone else only gets one.

And they let us have a real go at it - no holding back. While the other fan laps are well policed and speeds kept in check, they let us fly.... down the front straight I was in sixth gear pinned on my 500 - that's plain haulin' ass

Some more pics.......

Our "official" escorts....

These guys were up to carving corners as fast as we were

And finally a group shot of a few 500s/350s in our parking area next to the Yamaha manufacturer tent

Thanks to Nick for the video (missed dicing with you on the track this year :smt096 ), and next year we'll represent better!! :smt028 GREAT FUN!!!!

Looked like a blast. You are saying there was not contol rider to keep the pace down, sounds fun. Too bad about the RZ low siding. I can imagine how he felt. Was it a trailer queen or well used bike with wear and tear. Someone has to post a video of the parade lap from a bike cam. Wish I was there. Older I am getting the more I wish to ship bike and do Isle Of Man

i know the person who went into the sand to avoid the rz500 that went down that day! he thinks he has video of it from his gopro, if it was recording! he just got the camera and is not sure if it was recording or not.
How do i get into the yamaha fan laps next year? i will be bringing both my 500 and a 350 and deffinetly want to be on the track for that.

How do I sign up? Do I have to purchase a ticket for it? If so where?

How are you going to ride both at the same time Blowin Smoke? Do you not pay for the parade laps witrh your ticket. I am really suprised they let you ride fast. I did Barber at the Vintage meet in Oct 2010 and passed a few people due to the slow speed some people were going.

Back to the TT. Wonder what shipping cost from US would be and timing. Other thing do you use a temporary license, tags, and wonder about insurance. Rather take my own bike and take a little tour. I know it is rainy and colder that time of yearbut I know I would not regret it. I am sure you can rent a bicycle also. Any one have links for rooms, rentals, ideas on shipping etc.
