Its just turned out so nice Steve! A credit to all your hard work mate.

I remember seeing this bike when it first got these wheels and suspension. It was actually the day I bought the old RGV wheels and I didnt even know you had a 500 lol, seems a long time ago now... and its looking better than ever! Its my fave upgrade of an RZ500 and while mine will be standard (unless I fall over a set of wheels and suspension lol) I can only hope mine looks this good when its done :)

Steve,

Beautiful as always!

How's she run with the new carbs? Pros and cons over the 28s?

Hi Bill the combination of the port work and the new carbs have made an incredible difference.
The bike has so much bottom end and mid range and is so strong right through the rev range now its incredible.
This modification is highly recommended.
I put a couple of hundred kilometers on it a couple of weeks ago and i couldn't take the smile off my face it's that good now.

Thank you very much for your help and parts Bill.
Many thanks to Dudley Lister the guy is a legend and an incredible tuner.

I think after all these years and modifications my bike is finally finished.

Steve,

Great to hear for sure. I'm pleased that you are pleased with the results. I've been a true believer in the 34mm carbs with the U.F.O inserts for years now and you've reiterated my exact experience with the set up.

Dudley is a true and honest guy and he makes no bones about anything. Wish I could come visit him someday.

I've always wanted to keep small carbs to get 100 miles or more before getting nervous about running out of fuel. I can go 150 miles if kept under 6000r's but that's pushing it, I mean riding in on fumes. You guys saying the magic words bottom end and midrange have got my attention. So how are 34' with UFO's on fuel consumption? Not much worse? I'm gonna have to try this unless you say much worse

I haven't paid much attention to the fuel consumption since fitting the 34mm carbs.

Next time i get it out i will do a comparison.
