Left and Right switch assys change out?

#1 Post by kpke » Mon Oct 03, 2011 9:04 pm

Can the bar switch assys be swapped out for later gear?

The bike has R6 front, clip ons, etc., so can R6 parts be "adapted"?

Clueless here but I needed to ask.

Thanks.

I used the R1 switchgear, so I would say yes
you need to cross reference the R6 switchgear wiring diagram with the RD500 one

Yes used both sides

indicators/signals - similar to rd
kill switch - is wired opposite to rd (on is off - Off is on)
starter button - I wired a latching relay off this button which powers the light
dip and main - I wired a relay to operate the electric hi low shutter in the single projector light, the power was fed to this from the first relay, will only operate when the first relay has power

havnt got wiring diagram, as i made it up as I went, but I do control wiring for a living, so the wiring was the only part that didn;t scare me, and was the quickest part to do
