Some heat cycles on the bench, then a few miles on the road to get the new piston comfortable in it's new environment.
Was 35 degrees the day I took it out, so not many miles, and tuning was out of the question.




Checked compression on the new piston, and seems pretty good for not being broken in yet






Then I put my TZR/SP up on the table to determine how deep I will go with it....

Various issues, with fuel system (gas tank and petcock) caused the RZV to sit most all of the season. Float bowls now look clean after some miles on it, bike still runs strong up top, no fuel leaking anywhere…. I think I can maybe try to gain some trust in it, and ride it finally this season.





The TZR needs a complete total rebuild…. I have the parts I need, just not the desire or ambition at this time to do it….yet…

I try to keep it one at a time… but I seem to start another before the previous is completely 100% finished.
This TS400 with a TM400 engine has been my most recent thorn in my side.
But I am at the stage of bolting on instead of tearing apart, so the project might get finished after all.
