Grommets needed

#1 Post by spudmanRZV500 » Thu Sep 28, 2023 12:22 am

Hi folks. I've been searching since yesterday everywhere I can think of online for the grommets that hold the right and left side panels in place (the ones that mount in the frame and hold the little "spikes" on the panels tightly.
The original part number was 90480-01416 and it looks like at some point it was superseded by 90480-01415. The only place I found that supposedly has them is an online vendor called "MegaZip", and not only are they about $52 for 4 of them (shipped), but this place shows about a 4 to 7 week arrival time. I'd hate to wait that long for them to eventually tell me that they cannot in fact get them. I'm wondering if anyone here has come up with another part number from one of Yamaha's (or another manufacturer's) current models that would work. Thanks in advance for your help!

I may have some used ones, I’ll check and see. You need 4? Mike

Are they the somewhat oval shaped ones? Mike

Yep! They are very slightly oval shaped and I'm looking for 4 but will take what I can find. Thanks Mike!

Definitely Mike! The bike was pretty much perfect when I bought it, but it's a bit "disassembled" right now. As soon as I get it all buttoned up though, I'll send you a few pics.
