Yamaha R6 rear wheel in RD500 swingarm

Hi Everyone

Trying to find out if a R6 2CO rear wheel 5.5 width will
Go into the standard RD500 swingarm.

Anyone Managed this?

Check with member kpke, he’s done the R6 wheels, not sure what year though.

Done the Yamaha YZF600 17" conversion in the stock swinging arm. Pretty easy, I think the R6 is more tricky from memory when I was researching

YZF yes but the R^ will be too wide i would think.

Yes you are right that was the issue when I looked into it the YZF600 wheel is not quite as wide and does only just fit so anything bigger in stock swinging arm will require a large hammer!
