Fork Springs RD v RZV

#1 Post by ChequeredFlagRacing » Mon Jun 21, 2021 9:40 am

Are the RD and RZV the same spring length?
I'm thinking the RZV maybe shorter due to the damping adjuster system in the lower legs

they indeed are

i measured mine (rzv500r ) recently (sorry cannot remember the value ) , but they were definitely shorter than the value given for RD500LC

(maybe 30 mm shorter , can't remember ) (and now i put them back in ) .

the value given in the RZV500R workshop manual is 498 mm (limit 474 mm) (same as RD500LC .
I think , this is another mistake in the manual ,
the RZV500R springs are shorter . I saw several posts in the forum "complaining " about shorter length for RZV500R .

In my opinion RZV500R springs are shorter than rd500lc .
I don't think it is possible that rzv500r springs get shorter like that just from wear ....
