here is my recently acquired rd500lc not sure what pipes are on it looks like the lower can are genuine ones modified top ones don't cross over

The lower cans are not Yamaha. Now you just need to figure out who built the pipes.

Trust me, those are not stock Yamaha exhaust cans. Not even close.
