BABY SISTER

#1 Post by rz500guytexas » Mon Sep 02, 2019 10:53 am

Picked this up from a buddy who has a 500 for sale by the way. Hope i can fit on it. 1992 model. Cleaned it up a little. Ordered all the chassis parts, brake stuff, and carb kits. Would prefer midrange torque but I believe it is set up for speed. Will be looking for spares such as set of cylinders, heads, and pipes for shorter track. Any help will be appreciated. Engine will be completely rebuilt and will get a spare crank. Been told if I do the service as scheduled should be a good reliable ride. Again anyone that uses one of these i am open for suggestions. Key word uses.

Mine was much earlier but yes, I used it as intended. follow the service intervals /do your tear downs , dont try to get more miles out of components than yamaha recommends , and you should be very pleased.

That's an unusual shape for a brake light cut out of the tail.

The cutout in tail was the guys daughters name that owned the bike. I am hoping to fit on it with my old knees and hope I get hooked. Have ordered enough rebuild parts so think it has started. I believe if you are going to ride it at any pace that it should be in the best shape possible. It is only human weakness and error that make it not fun.
