What site are you guys using to host your photos? I have been using Photobucket for years, but the site is crap and reliability is hit and miss.

http://www.abload.de" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

In the beginning it was free of advertisements but it has changed since... 1 or 2 years.
But if you direkt link the pictures it works fine without pop-up`s.

Same with me with photobucket. It kept getting slower and slower. Got to the point where it wouldn't even work some times. I even sent them an email and they did reply telling me to do a bunch of stuff to my computer. I was getting varying results from different computers. I even got a new laptop for xmas and the same thing.

Then I installed free adblock plus. The old laptop now runs photobucket like it used to. I returned the new laptop.

We'll see how long it takes for the team at photobucket to get around the adblocker and jam the machine up again.

I hate these f'n computers, but necessary evil these days.

The solution I would really like to have is my own "hosting" site. Mine. Unfortunately one gets kind of locked in to a site like photobucket after using it for years for build threads and such.

I hope your foot heals quickly. :smt002

I was assuming that my old computer just didn't have the processor speed needed for Photobucket now. I just switched to a new computer and was expecting Photobucket to work better. It doesn't. It's still awful. They want you to pay the monthly fee to go ad free, but it isn't the ads that is slowing it down, it's just a terrible site. Full of glitches and it stops for no apparent reason.

Ditto, every time I use it starts with "I hate you Photobucket". Definitely open to better options, but don't have one to share yet.
Came across this on a quick search; http://lifehacker.com/5808625/five-best ... o-sharing/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
DropBox is a simple option too.

I just pays the annual fees and hope for the best - so far so good. Been using ImageShack for about 10 years now. Was free for the first 7 years of so, but then they switched to pay.

I understand that the sites have to make money, but that is why we have always tolerated the ads. I fear that paying for an "upgraded" Photobucket account would just end we more frustration and more of the same poor functioning of their site.

Anyone else using Imageshack's paid service?

Maybe I'll just start using attachments for everything.
