Very nice. All go well with this foot so far? Get well soon so you can keep them in rideable condition. You have a rental rider? Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Yes, thanks, so far, so good. Same surgery as the left foot back in October but with, hopefully, better initial results. No cast yet as there is too much swelling. Back to see the surgeon Wednesday and we'll see what happens. I'd like to avoid the dripping skin and dead cat smell this time.

I'm going to be very upset if after all of this I don't see better shifting and braking :smt003

The current cast comes off on May 5th. Hopefully the x-ray will show the plate and screws are good and that will be the end of the casts.

All the best on the Healing 2.0

What is the underlying ailment the surgeries are supposed to address?

Thank you.

Inflammatory arthritis. It destroyed the 1st MTP joints in both feet. The surgeon removed the joints and fused them with plates, wire, and screws. I felt better as soon as I woke up after surgery.

From the start of the first surgery on the left side until this right side cast comes off is 2 days short of 7 months. Fall, winter, and into spring. Summer should be enjoyable.

I expect that by the time this arthritic process is all done I'll be part cyborg.

Maybe I'll change my username to The Johninator. It sounds better if you say it with a German accent
