Decals

#1 Post by silverstrom » Sun Apr 24, 2016 9:54 pm

Is there anything more frustrating than applying decals? I did these today and while they are easier than others I have done, I still find it extremely aggravating. The older I get the more I hate doing decals. I need to go have a stiff drink.

This one I did 2 years ago and I still have nightmares about it.

Definitely a stiff drink. I have 3 more tanks to paint and decal.

Do you apply them wet or dry?

I love this, between dry and wet.

Not as dry that you can't adjust, not too wet that the sticker gets all over the place

Always wet. If you do it dry you only get once chance to get it right.

I'll apply the fuel decals after the tanks are clear coated. Even though they're small I'll still do it wet.
