I keep meaning to ask what you are doing about interior lighting.

My LED lighting testimonial:

I have installed (8) 4 foot dual lamp LED fixtures in my 3+ car garage. Currently this is in addition to (2) 8 foot dual lamp fluorescent fixtures.

The LED lighting works fantastic. Instant bright lighting. I bought a bunch of extras so I will change out the fluorescent fixtures with LED soon and may even add more. The 8 LED fixtures are split into 2 groups of 4 which can be turned on independently via remote control. I put some LED fixtures in the pool house also and can turn those on and off with the same remote.

I think you may end up wanting more LED lighting installed but it sounds like you are set up to add additional if required.

The shop is looking wonderful. :smt007

My exterior lighting is also LED. It's connected to a photo sensor mounted in the soffit, so on at dusk and off at dawn. Works brilliantly.

Next step for wiring is to run 2x RG6 and 3x CAT5 from the house to the garage.

they changed out all the lights in our 3 shop buildings ( 150x6 bank ) for LEDs which were said to last at least 5 years.(saves a bunch on the bill)
at least 30 had died in the first year.
hope you do better than that.
(beautiful shop that)
She might not be pretty but always a fun ride !!

I had that discussion with my electrician as I had concerns about projected life verses actual life. He said that he has had good luck with these units, but I'll remain pessimistic. If they do fail, he can deal with it. They'll be on only occasionally, so time will tell. That concern is exactly why my exterior lighting is conventional units with screw in LED bulbs. Those lights will be on 8+ hours every day and the thought of having to replace the entire unit when the tiny LED bulb burned out made no sense at all.

Electrical inspection passed Friday, so on to the next task.

$2200 and you get 44 batts of R22 Roxul.

Equally as important, if not more so, is the item in the box.

Not if he plugs it in before the insulation is installed. There is woman at work who is referred to as R22 since her pants fit like the bags on those batts, and the contents would likely expand in a similar manner when opened.

I couldn't use a full size refrigerator. I need to be able to reach the microwave that is going on top. I had the electrician wire a circuit specifically for both.

Russ; that is funny, although I did almost throw up when I thought about the expansion.

Insulation is done. Took me 40 hours over 3 days to do it. The last day was 3 PM until 7 AM. I'd rather chew broken glass than install insulation again. What a miserable task.

Dry wall guy should be here in a few minutes.

I remember my garage when it was empty, so much space :D
1 month later it was filled up with this and that and i was struggling with finding space for the stuff I was planning.

Ok, my garage is half of this one, but it`s 2 wheelers only... :smt003

Looks nice!

Worked until late Thursday night moving things around and trying to fill the garage. Managed to get quite a bit done before my midnight deadline. Had surgery Friday so I'm officially out of commission for several months.

My daughter took photos of 1/2 of it today.
