Never too old to learn, I have never heard or though of that one! Best wishes and good luck with the medical side of things.

Hi John, I'm so sorry to hear all that. Yes, I think it's best to hire an electrician as that work would be pretty strenuous and not much fun...
Yeah, we in life need to exist with what life throws at us, being positive and doing the things we love is good for us. I'm glad that you're not on pain meds, delay that if possible as I have spent the last 5 yrs on them due to my T-Bone car accident back in Dec 2010, lower back has been screwed since. I ended up living my life in a fog, you're there but not really there. Last month I decided I'm done with them after an incident at work and my wife wanting the old Frank back. So I've become clean, one of the most difficult tasks I've ever done. I've found a new treatment for my pain, I get 2 epidural shots in my lower spine and then 10 pain blocker shots around the area, very painful, but I hobble in and dance out of there each month. In the process of getting a back surgeon to look at my case and hopefully they can do something as there's a limit on how long these shots can be done for. Modern medical system is amazing John, just need to find the right Doctor's, treatments, etc...
You need to do what you need to do and yeah sometimes there are risks involved. I hope I don't sound too forward and i know my situation pales in comparison, but if you don't do something it will not get better. We all wish the very best for you and appreciate your Knowledge, Advice and Attention to Detail with all that you do... Thinking of you...

Good luck John, sincerely.
Life throws us all some curve balls sometimes. We need to do the best we can.
I hope things work out for you.

Oh man I guess a simple get well soon won't help but add my best whishes to the list.

I had that type of hip surgery in 1997 and if I'd ever be asked again, I'd first try everything else.
They used it in the right arm to fill up a radius fracture and I was down in bed for 3 full days which was the longest recovery of all my surgeries before and after.
Never thought that removing of a small piece of hip material can cause that amount of pain.

Sounds like we are all here for you in our thoughts and prayers. MY RZ keeps me distracted and when on the track the only thing besides being safe and having fun is when will by pelvis cramp. Lots of stretching before, ride bicycle between sessions, and more stretching. Oh and the massage after Saturday session always helps for Sundays sessions.

Garage door flashing is done. I hate doing flashing, especially the long pieces at the top. They kept trying to fold up as I was installing them. Frustrating, but I was determined to do it by myself. Borrowed a 10'6" metal brake from a friend.

Siding goes right to the edges, so the ugly parts with nails will be fully covered.

Hi John. Yeah, that is a bit of short notice, but that seems to be the way it is these days. Something else always comes up or is more important than the project your working on...
Example: I've learned in my 58yrs never marry a girl with a large/huge family... There are birthdays, family outings or get togethers, hospital visits, at least 6 X-mases, etc, to prevent one from doing just about anything... Not sure why I even have motorcycles anymore???
Just relax, take deep breaths, in through the nose, hold 3 sec. and out through the mouth, repeat... Your health needs to come first John. Do what you can, okay without over doing it. Just be as ready as you can.
The way I've read things here, this operation needs to be done. So just relax and get prepared the best that you can, okay... Thinking of you...
Frank
P.S. I wonder if we can get a bunch of RZ guy's together for a weekend to give you a hand as you've helped so many of us... I'm in....
