#1 Post by bolly » Mon Sep 16, 2013 6:25 am

The motor and frame are 30 no's off so that seems like a bonus, rolls nice, kicks nice, carb is free

got lotsa parts that will be put to use here shortly... one of the rarest 250M parts is that "pickle" silencer and bracket and I finally found one!

Kick ass project Greg, I remember when I was a kid those were just too cool. If you rode one of those you were Superman.

Greg, yesterday I was hanging out at a vintage motocross event, what a blast. Apparently you have one of the most sought after bikes in vintage MX, they sell for north of $5000 when restored so be careful with the resto. How is your progress with this bike going, I know you're probably busy with the new place.

I just purchased a 1976 Suzuki RM370 to restore as a project and then next year I may try my hand at vintage MX.

mx event eh?? too cool Martin!! I just did a google cache search and found your RM370, seized the ad says? Best of luck with it!!
Here's one semi-local to me; http://www.kijiji.ca/v-dirt-bikes-motoc ... 1096489722" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The 1973 CR250M is desirable, I seen a museum quality one listed for $15k US!! yikes!! Mine is comin along, been waiting for my restored pipe since Jan this year, supposed to be done today but I've heard that story before :(

Cleaned and painted my shocks awhile back... man was I sick of lookin at the silver paint! LOL!! The only thing I miss about the last place was I could rip up and down the street on it but can't do that around here!!!

I don't have the bike yet but the guy who picked it up says it wasn't siezed, in fact it looked really good. Had a mouse nest in the cylinder.

15K!! Jackpot!, May have to get the feelers out.

post some pics once you have it!

Btw 15k condition was perfect, similar to a time machine just out of the crate
