Thanks Vin! Coming from a master builder such as yourself that means alot.

Removed all silencers and cleaned out rivets with Brakleen. Plugged all the rivet holes with JB Weld. Need to make new closed cell foam gaskets and reinstall tomorrow. I hope this works.

No Mark. I have not weighed the bike.

The JB weld in the rivet holes worked. Now I am down to 1 silencer leaking in a different spot. :smt013

How are you brake lines routed. Behind fork or front.

The lines route in front of the lower triple clamp. Just like the original rubber lines.

I utilized the tapped hole where the original Y was mounted to for two separate clamps for each brake line.

I love the bike! Are you going to add any stickers like "RZV500R" or something similar?

Don't get me wrong. I'm just being curious. I think it looks great as it is as well.

Thanks Jeff B

A good friend of mine is an Industrial Design Engineer. I asked him about putting decals on it.

He seemed to think I should.

But for now no. I kind of like the mystery of the bike not having any indication of what it is other than the gold tuning forks on the tank. I guess and Yamaha on the engine cases.

From yesterday Hmmm need to go to the other computer to load pics. My laptop just can't do photobucket anymore.

Yesterday installed a clear plexi panel inside the lower front fairings to protect the engine from getting gravel blasted from the not so perfect Mines Road. When it gets too beat up I will paint the back of it black.

The radiator fan was doing mysterious things, turning on when the bike was switched on not started and cold, not consistently coming on when the bike is hot. So today I installed a manual switch for the radiator fan. I had an extra slot in the 5 position fuse block so it was utilized to fuse the fan. A 10 amp fuse is being used. 5 amp instantly vaporized. Same setup as on one of the RZ350’s with an R6 fan installed.

I just started a conversation with Uni about replacing my Mad Beaver Uni's.

Hopefully they will still make them at a price similar to above.
I'll post the results for the group when I know.
