Vin's Project!
I thought I should start some progress pictures of my project!
spec will be, standard motor with Jolly Motos, R6 rad, hydraulic clutch conversion, brembo clutch and brake master cylinders, Ducati 916 front end, RGV banana arm, Nitron shock with the very nice smurph ride height adjusters all with a re-painted standard colours and one off seat unit.
goodies to go on!
R6 rad fitted with standard fan
engine waiting rebuild, barrels and cranks being overhauled
paintwork
clocks with white faces

Thanks mate!Smoker wrote:Vin- your collection of parts for the build look totally excellent!
The bike is going to look stunning.
Could I inquire about the smoked or clear taillight lens? I can't tell which it is, but I'm very curious about the details of this part. Thanks!
The rear light unit is a clear one and it was from E-bay, a FZR600 one and as you already probably know the same as the RD500 one

Thanks matesemiceizure wrote:so far so good vin,but im wondering about yer master cylinders for clutch/brake not sure if your gonna have enuff room for your brake/clutch master cylinders when bike is in full lock
Yes this was a problem when I did the full mock up but over came the master cylinders hitting the clocks by mounting them behind the bracket mounts instead of on top of them only millimetres to spare though
I also have given the bike as much lock as possible with the fittment of the R6 rad and thats just millimetres to spare too
I like vinnies work. he plays close attention to detail and thinks things out before he does it, giving a good result, he has done several bikes now and each one is better than the last so gaining some valuable experience.
so all i can say is well done it looks great and i know the end result will be even better.
ps
nice tidy shed

It gives great motivation to get great comments like that especially from a great builder and mentor like yourself and others on the forums
as far as the tidiness of me shed mate it's a constant battle

Looks like your doing a very nice job so far with some nice bits. I've seen the seat unit some place before or one very close to yours and it was rumored to have the grill work out of an RG tail section. What rearsets are you using and were did you get the white faces for your clocks. I always wanted something newer looking when I had stock clocks.
