The R6 headlight (unlike the R1), alternates between the RHS for low and the LHS for high beam. It's been a while since I did it, but the power draw from the original headlamp and the newer headlamp will not be that different, so the wiring is adequate. I changed to a sealed battery which I have located in the front fairing stay. You can see pictures earlier in my post. I've chosen a battery with a very similar technical spec to the original, just a different shape to fit.
The only other thing I did was to fit an electronic flasher unit which copes with led turn signals. The original old unit was cactus anyway.

LOL OHHHH yes your details for the fairing will be very very welcome.Im thinking of doing a carbon fiber seat unit. i have a standard old r6 seat unit im gonna use as a template and see if i can put some fine mesh vents into it(like your hear shields for your exhausts) before i cut into the carbon unit. maybe exhausts shields carbon as well 8-) Lots of ideas kicking around. its all your fault  i got the rzv to go back as standard but your project changed all that. its great  back to my shopping list.

Thanks for the help

Nearly there. Got some new shiny rubber on and the seat is finished. Not really really sure about the mirrors / indicators. Looks like the sidestand needs lengthening, though I think I'll drop the mounting slightly to give more foot clearance under the gear lever. Some details just to finish. Gold wheels like KR's??

Exceptional Job adrian ! The bike looks fantastic.
I can't wait to see it in the flesh one day.

We will have to organise a ride one day with all the sydney, central coast and newcastle owners.

I was a bit sceptical reagrding the non covered upper pipes at first, but when I see the end result I changed my mind. Stunning bike, looks factory built!
