Sorry it's been a while since I've updated.
The R5 dare I call it is hopefully having it's final session on the bench. I've been building a standard bike from all the spares that I have and a few that I've had to procure and needed cranks for it. So I decided to fit the new cranks to the R5 and the old but good R5 cranks to the standard one. It's been engine restrip and two engine builds, so I've been a busy boy.
The standard one is almost finished, not concours, but totally rebuilt engine, powder coated frame etc etc (I'll do an update on that soon) and will be a good buy for someone as I intend to sell it (though I'll ride it for a bit and see if the boss will let me keep it   ).
I'll get to work on the final bits for the R5 soon, rearsets and little bits and bobs and update soon.

Finally an update.
With a few of the spare bits from the yellow bike and an engine and frame I picked up, I put this standard bike together. Looks pretty good and rides well, though I'm not too sure about the 16" front. The BT45's are great though.
In summary, new top end, crank seals, total engine rebuild, carb kit (btm left still leaks occasionally!!), powder coating throughout, brakes totally rebuilt, new BT45's, head bearings, fork seals, stainless fasteners etc etc.
For sale to the highest bidder!!

and then there's this.
Rebored, new top end, new cranks, Mikuni TM28 flatsides, R1 front end, R6 rear end, Ohlins rear, rear ride height adjuster, JL GP pipes, Ignitech ignition, Koso gauges, R6 body kit, Tomaselli bars and all the rest. Oh yeh, the KR paint which I love, though I stuck with the black wheels.
Phew!! Only took me 2 1/2 years, so rego this week and then ride it to see how it goes, set up the suspension and then onto the dyno to tune it.
