Hello Paul,
thanks for your nice words. I personally think my ANTENA 3 YZR replica is much better than the MARLBORO bike which only has this radical engine but the rest is pretty unspectacular

OK, just bought the PS digital subscription since PS isn't always an easy find here.

I read about the build.

Well, if Des had of visited the forum I could have saved him the trouble of hacking up the original 1979 TZ500 fairing lower he got off eBay.

Any of the aftermarket TZ500 jobs could have been used (which would have included an upper rather than him needing to scratch build one by hand) and he could have hung the genuine one up in his study :)

Interestingly he did go with widening the belly pan 50mm - I just spread mine. Perhaps I just need to bite the bullet and splice in a strip down the center.

The details are R1 swinger, R6 front wheel and R1 rear. The tamk is a one off made from cutting and joining an RD500, R6 and FZR600 bits together.

From the 2 page article it does look very nice - would be great to see a nice detail photo spread.

I buy mine here. http://www.themagazineman.co.uk/Practic ... tbikes.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

After you buy, they'll email you when the next issue is available. A simple system and no leaving the house to hunt for the magazine.

Anyone know if this is an aftermarket tail or custom?

I am sure it is an aftermarket TZ500 seat unit of some flavour.

I used one from a UK fairing manufacturer - I will dig up the name here if I can.

*edit*

Here you go. TZ500J tailpiece. I got it from BBPlastics in January 2016, so it should still be current production. It took a couple months since they also do bodywork for race consumption and that takes production priority.

Thanks, RC45 for the photo and link.

I want a custom tail for my bike, but if I can't go custom- that tail is a maybe.

The problem I have is- I don't want my heels so close to my ass. Makes my knees hurt, just looking at it. If I use that tail, I would want to raise the whole subframe, tail, pipes, and all.

Not my style, but worth a look.

2 Kawasaki triple engines and 4 rear motorcycle rims.

Seems like sort of a waste of a fabulous engine, but wow!
