In the other pics I posted, the seat support and the tail bracket are rusted pieces of uncoated steel.

Quite a contrast with the beautiful stainless pipes. :smt017

by the pipes is a V4, but the TZR were 250. Some were parallel, The 3MA had the carburetors in the front while the exhaust came straight out the back in a parallel configuration. The 3MA came with conventional forks while others came with USD forks. The SP version came with individual heads, multiple adjustments on the forks and adjusting blocks for the rear axle. The 3XV was a V shape engine and of course the one to get is the SP.

This bike has a swingarm from an earlier model and some of the earlier TZR250 models came with a single disk in the front.

Looks like an RZV frame/swingarm/engine. 3MA bodywork, not sure if tank is RZV or 3MA. Front is 1990 up Suzuki RGV, and rear wheel/rotor is Suzuki too.
1989 3MA had RWU forks, 1990 3MA had USD.

Smoker, that’s a V-4 250 from the late 60’s isn’t it?

I’ve loved the V4 125 and 250, read about them as a teenager. YouTube has a couple of short videos.

After looking again, it does have a Yamaha fork, but wheels and rotors are Suzuki, as is the front fender.

I thought Jeff was talking about the rotary valve, v4, with the delorto carbs, steel frame, and drum brakes. :smt017

I respectfully stand by my opinion :smt003 ...and I’ll let this thread move on.
Rear wheel is not a 5.5....probably a GSXR400...4 bolt brake rotor.
Front is a Suzuki rotor design too, with 5 bolts...Yamaha has 6....
