Really Happy Today. Made good progress on the RZ500 restoration project. Got the rebuilt engine into the frame (some lost skin on my knuckles too)

Sent some bits to be vapour blasted last week. Really happy with the outcome. Can now assemble the steering head.

They look great. Such a simple process and the results are impressive.

I found a shop a couple of hours from me that does vapour blasting. I'll be taking plenty to then during my next project. Their booth isn't huge, so they are limited as to what they can accommodate as far as size goes. I'd like to find a shop that could do the whole frame.

Got some new updates to share with you. Can't believe how well these forks have turned out. Vapour blasted and the bolts all re-zinc plated.

They look great. A simple solution with great results. I'll take that route with my next set.

Anyone know where I can get hold of another plastic cap on the anti-dive adjuster? One has dropped off and I don't think you can get them anymore.

The black knob was never a separate part, and it isn't usually removable. You would normally have to replace the whole anti-dive unit.

Bummer ! Not sure what to do then. May look for a spare anti-dive unit. Anyone got one?

Black knobs are replaceable, I removed mine and refinished them, They are threaded with a bolt through them, The RG500 cant be removed, Its a permanent one .

How do you get it off Paul? I tried and was afraid to break something. I turned the knob CCW as far as it will go and it just stops solid. Even with persuasion it wouldn't budge.
