Fairing Bolt set

#1 Post by Jarrettvp » Sun Nov 06, 2016 6:30 pm

Anyone know where I can get a complete set of fairing bolts ? I have started my RZ500 restoration project and would like to start from scratch with a new fairing bolt kit. Once I get the fairing restored and painted, I want it to look like new.

Cheers.

The bolts were still available new from Yamaha when I last checked.

Not anymore in Canada, I checked 2 weeks ago and some were replaced with dark black hardware . On the F3 page of the parts list , 31 and 32 were both replaced with 90183051A0 , 33 is still available , 34 replaced with 9011005201 and 38 replaced with 9011006202 .

I just checked and the CMS parts have been superseded to the same numbers. Yamaha is finally running out of parts and superseding to parts that can be quite different, often from the FZ/FZR, Banshee, Warrior, etc. Whatever fits they'll supersede to. Just a bit frustrating.

I've used kits from Screwed Industries on customer bikes that are a good match to stock fasteners. Easy to order at most shops here, but available online as well. This shows the product, but you'd want to find it closer to home. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Screwed-Indus ... SwMmBVn~3b" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This UK seller seems to have plenty of options available. The Japanese bikes all use the same fasteners, so it really doesn't matter which kit you buy. http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/m.html?_odkw= ... g&_sacat=0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Hi JP

This UK ebay seller has a kit for the rd500 with what you need.

If your going for an original restore use the parts list and parts look up tool to guide you.(see links)

http://www.rzrd500.com/parts/allentries.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
