That looks great so far. I have a 3MA frame to get to one day, and also a 3MA tank and 4DL tank like you've used. I have made an adapter plate to mount a 500 fuel tap to the 4DL tank since the original is too small, how did you manage this? The 4DL tanks are quite small volume, did you increase it or leave it standard? I'm not sure what kind of plastic it is, but shouldn't be too hard to get it modified.

I too am doing a 3MA YZR replica. I bought a 4DL tank and weighed it and found it to be heavier than the 3MA one!
Even the 3MA tank is only around 16L, and the 4DL is quite a bit less.
I cut the air-box cut-out out of the 3MA tank and welded a flat plate in, to give about 21L.
Unless you particularly like the look of the 4DL tank, I wouldn't personally recommend. Also, some reports of fuel leaching through these plastic tanks.....
Just my 2 cents....

Ta Stevo.
Gonna stick with the 4DL tank as I like the look of it. Always got the option to change if I need to.
Thanks for your comments tho.

I will be posting some more pics eventually. The build is taking an eternity (Work/Time/Money) but "I Will Be Done"

Hope you guys like it when it's eventually finished.

Never give up!!!!

Hi Jetjockey
How's your build coming on. I'm going to start a YZR build similar to yours, would you have the part number for the short plugs and caps and where did you buy the rear sets from.
Cheers Ron.
