The Best YZR Replica Fairing for TZR 3MA Frame

#1 Post by Jetjockey » Tue Jun 16, 2020 8:41 am

Still Building (Very slowly)....a YZR500 Replica using the TZR 3MA modification.
(Not great but best I could afford at the time.... slight regret tbh)

Anyway..... I bought the YZR Replica fairing from Motoforza.

I expected I would be fibreglassing etc to get this to fit right....as its not meant for this frame etc.

The Motoforza bodywork was pretty poor to say the least (Panels with holes & just basically poorly built even if it was for an actual YZR500 I doubt it would fit....& the amount needed to get this to even “Slightly” fit is ridiculous.
The amount of fibreglass needed...I could fabricate a whole new fairing.. hahaha.

Anyway.....does “Anyone” (I’m sure they do) know of a GOOD Replica fairing that 90% fits a TZR 3MA Conversion that doesn’t require a load of fibreglass to make the bastard fit. (Coz I’m sick of this one)

Thanks
I'd rather be scared to death than bored to death!

Hi,

Try King Carbon, NK Racing or Wolfgang Hromada (Youngtimers)

Cheers

I have a fairing from king carbon and the quality is pretty good. If you do go with them you might want to ask them not to drill the holes for the D clips, they did for mine and they were pretty mis-aligned.
