new rd 500 in Spain

#1 Post by megafer » Thu Sep 05, 2013 2:18 am

Hi guys

Long time reading post in your web but this is my first. want to introduce you myself and my bike. at last i am finalizing my new project, I am updating to nineties one of our incredibles rd 500. my idea was to update model to first nineties look and think we have got it.

It's not my first custom bike, have re-built some rd 350 in the last years, but it's my first 500 and i am really proud of the final result

hope you will enjoy it as much as i do.

pieces changed;
rear shock; Nitron
shock mounting by youngtimershop
17" rear wheel from yamaha yzf 600 thundercat
Wheel guard from yzf 600 thundercat
rear fender and plate support from Suzuki Bandit 2008
front from R6 1999-2001 (wheel, brakes etc)
bottom and side panels fairing from Moto forza
top fairing and light from yamaha FZR 600 91-92
seat cowl; Pferrer
rear light from Suzuki GSXR 1100 86-87
v force from YZ 85
jim lomas exhaust pipes

all the other parts are originals, it's not finished but hopefully could show more pics in the next weeks.

keep on working on your projects like to read about them every day

regards

Nice work!
Love the look of the GSXR rear light, it suits the seat unit perfectly.
