Tool Kit Pouch - Making My Own

#1 Post by V4 Heaven » Wed Aug 21, 2013 6:31 am

Hi all,

The bad news is that I have recently tried to get hold of the original tool kit, have had some offered, and find that I really can't justify the cost.

The good news is my family are dab hands with a sewing machine, so I've decided that I going to make my own!

I have the more modern tool kit with the plastic sleeve, so I thought I could bag this up in my own hand-made version.

The problem is, I don't have any dimensions to work with. Would one of you good fellows with a genuine tool kit/pouch be able to answer the following questions:

* Is the pouch a 'one piece bag' or a tool roll? IE are there any separate compartments for the tools or are they all held together in the pouch?

* What are the bag's dimensions?

* How long is the strap that holds it all together?

* What are the dimensions of the blue Yamaha lettering?

* How best would you describe the material used? Canvas, cotton, linen etc.

Thanks for your help. I'll post pics of any progress made!
Gettin' kinda squirrely!

My tool bag is quite knackered after all these years, but it's original.... so I'll take a few measurements and photos tonight and get the info to you.
