Mike,

You know I'm worried a little about that! Once it's riden it's no longer 'new'. But hey, I wanted a show and go machine so gonna have to sacrifice somewhere.

In between vacations and the many client's projects I dropped off my bodywork for decals and clear. Should pick it up on Sunday. Getting excited to see it coming together. This was the last major hurdle in the build and the one I'm most nervous about since all the front plastics are OEM NOS. Nice part is it only cost me a gas tank to get it done. I'll post pics when it's here.

Progress at last!!!!!

I started another question thread in Suspension concerning the front shock reservoir mount. I fashioned this up last night and polished and mounted it tonight. Also been working on the electrical and some final carb setup before they get mounted.

Last week I installed the bird cage and cluster along with the remaining silicone hoses/radiator and both oil and coolant bottles.

More Progress!!!

Spent much of saturday sorting through installation of the fan, headlight, 34mm carbs, cables, brackets etc. Removed the top triple to drill/tap a mount for the front brake reservoir custom bracket now polished and installed. Then last night finished up the wiring portion of the tail light integrator. I stopped by the local metal fab place to have a piece of plate aluminum made up to enclose the opening behind the inner rear fender and the tail light. I'll post pics of it later when it's all finished. Still have to fab a license bracket too.

Soon to be finishing up the refurb of the Toomey exhaust with sanding and fresh paint.

That is shaping up very nicely. Still going with the colored tire? The detail work is nice. good work, can not wait to see it run.

Hey Bill -

Gotta ask where did you source your radiator from? I spoke with the PWR USA distributor last year and they had no record of any production of radiators for the RZ500 (RD500LC), but could custom build one at a cost that was way out of line...

Yes sir. Been making those for some years now. Work with any carb size too. $185.00 plus shipping.

Yes they built it but only for Carl at RG500.com. That is where I got this one. Fine unit too.

Thanks Paul. I'm on the fence as to whether I wait to fire it till after the World of Wheels and one other local custom bike shows here in the winter or just go ahead sooner. Soon as it's fired then it's dirty.
