Reproduction Frame VIN Decal Sticker...

#1 Post by WVWRZ500N » Thu Feb 28, 2013 5:36 pm

Hello Fellow Club Members and Future Club Members:

I recently started working on my personal 500 again. You know it's only been 12 years since I bought it, why start now, right?

Well part of the restoration/mods will be repainting of the frame. As I am a bit too detailed sometimes I really wanted the frame ID sticker to go back on after the repaint. After poking around I located a graphics company to do the work.

I dealt with Tom at http://www.replicals.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. Great guy, extremely fast in responding to all my questions and then put the sticker up on their website for public sale.

Heres the link to get your reproduced. Simply add your build date and VIN and place the order.

Have a look and get your decal redone too.

That's great, I will probably grab one. Are they exactly as shown in the pics or are they closer to the original. The original had square corners and the font looks a little finer. Not trying to nitpick but some doing true restos may care. I wonder if he could do the customs decal as it is more than just font.

Looks like they're missing from the RZV range??? Or should it be found somewhere else?

I received the new sticker this weekend. I'll post pictures later, but it is spot on. Even used a reflective material. Absolutely perfect in my opinion.

In addition, if you have changes to the design for any reason email Tom (at Replicals) and share with him what changes you need. He can wip it up real fast.

Nice! Anybody got a mint 350 one to send him as a template? The little Transport Canada one would be a bonus.

Fellow Club Members and Future Members:

Here is a quick picture of the reproduced decal.

Image

With the flash on it's super reflective. I'll take a few more tonight without the flash to show how clear it is.

Here's the original with no flash still on the frame.

I'm going to be powder coating my RZ350 frame and would love to be able to get a reproduction sticker. I will take a picture of it over the next few days as it's good condition. Looks very similar to the RZ500 one, but rim/tire information obviously different. However, I suspect font to be the same so it should be fairly easy for them to modify the one they already made for the RZ500.

Thats a low number 52X VIN. I have one lower here. I will have to take a look at it. I wonder who has the lowest number on the forum?
