One more part finished...
Raw part:
And just for fun I have checked if I did some mistakes...
Everywhere the correct draft angle and a clean split line

Keep these cad drawings coming
Re: My project (1GE)
I wouldn't be surprised if this thread is being cross linked to CAD forums. Awesome models, enjoying the updates, but I still wish you warmer weather so you can play with real ones.

Re: My project (1GE)
I expected that I can finish the whole fork assembly today...
And then I disassembled the anti dive unit
Only the big housing took me a lot of time.
It`s already warm enough to work in the garage, around +10°C
Thats why I will go there now and make my NS400R ready for registration (next week)

Re: My project (1GE)
After 5 months...
- Engine turned by hand
- Fuel tap to "Pri"
- 1x kicked
- Remembered that I forgot the choke
- Kicked again
- Rang dang dang dang
-
Time to clean up the garage, change the rear tire of the 350, make some last checks on the NS400R for tomorrow`s registration check and then it`s RD500 time again!

Re: My project (1GE)
More progress...
To get some motivation I took a hand full of small parts from the garage to my laptop.
Big parts or assemblies with a lot of sub parts are frustrating because there is no progress on the parts list
To be optimistic - there are ~40% of all parts already in CAD.

Re: My project (1GE)
The main part is again quite complex...
A real mass production part where the tools are expensive.
By the way, the hose connectors are glued in, but the glue has no function anymore due to the fuel and the age.
Maybe a good point to check for everyone - it was very easy to pull them out by hand.
Checked it because of this topic:
http://www.rzrd500.com/500phpBB3/viewto ... 192#p88192" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Just wondering a bit, mine has no steel ring between the hose connector part and the housing.
@pstamper: Or is this just glue/sealant on the picture?

Re: My project (1GE)
One more open point closed...
The broken plastic air filter support frame will be replaced by a stainless steel one (or maybe I will do another one out of aluminum to save weight)
