This is my winter project it had one previous owner its been stood in a damp garage an left out side for neally 24 years

That's one big job you've got there GOOD LUCK the carbs might need cleaning before you try to get it going lol!!!

got a few parts that i need so far but i need throttle cables an choke cables an two choke plungers send me a message if you any any off these parts thanks colin

Hope he stored her with some good antifreeze. Did you see if she would start probably not the batteries were never that good anyway. Hope you are friends with the banker. Good luck :smile:

Didn't know they retreived a RD500 from the Titanic . You can count on the members of this board for any help finding replacement parts .

My thoughts exactly. This will turn out to be an outrageously expensive build unless every part needed is sourced on the cheap, which is no longer possible.

I fear the same. Unless it's plastic, the majority will probably be beyond repair. Possibly the best option would be some sort of GP rep. The hunt for that many good condition original parts would be a nightmare and the expense mindboggling! But, everyone on here will advise and help i'm sure. I only hope he didn't pay too much for it.
