Another RZ500 In Hiding
Guys
Just been to a bike show here in Cairns (Australia) and saw a cool RZ500,
Talked to the builder and he tells me that he made the fairing and the tail section was from a Aprilia RS250 with a lot of modifactions. Running gear is from an RGV 250, He was not sure who manufactured the exhausts except they were from the UK.
You cant see very well from the photos but the tank had a very neat fuel cap asembly.
I have to confess that i was showing a couple of Kawasaki triples and they were parked alongside a fleet of Kawasaki Z900s.
Great Day and good to see another RZ500
Cheers
Andy

There are holes in the sky where the rain gets in, but the holes are small, thats why the rain is thin

I dont think the owner was trying to emmulate a particular vintage racer...other than the actual vintage"era" of the bike. I'm quite pickey on apperances and detail...I think its a pretty stand up job,Looks the part from the rear shot, perhaps not my personal taste..but loks utterly unlike ANY other RZ500 custom, which all quite frankley do look similar with the exeption of paint/graphics. he does this all while delivering a bold look with the yellow, which hits dammned good to the eye, looking 100% different while not looking like a handmade garage special. Frankley it doesnt look too far off Gamma 500 or NS400 esqe "era" bodywork, with a little TLR-R in the hunp section.
Dammned good looking machine though! I wouldnt kick it out of my garage.
