What pieces do you have to source to complete the dry clutch mod?Ade SYM wrote:Received these today!

I now have every thing to put the clutch into place and get it working as it should.
I managed to source a very reasonabley priced Ducati 1098 assembly which was a complete dry clutch, in VGC and minimal wear.
I am looking for a lighter pressure plate and stainless springs but these are readily available.
Not done a gear box removal on a 500 before so will be looking at the manual and threads on the site, but hope to get it done this weekend.
The carbs may have to wait a while..
Your bikes looking good - what plans do you have for it?
Thanks Ade

My plans are raw magnesium engine side covers, dry clutch, alloy RZV frame, dry-break fuel filler, custom GP-style electric black box in the nose cone and probably gloss 'body in white' factory Yamaha colours. I just can't decide on a colour scheme so I figured a nice gloss white with Yamaha tuning forks and YAMAHA on the tank would be different.
That way I can install vinyl decals as my mood changes but always go back to gloss white if I get bored with it.
That is where I am getting my kit from, this one looks like George's work.alexander wrote:Who makes that kit? George S.? in Greece? The side cover looks good.

Yes it is Georges kit
Quality of the dry clutch kit is great and your right the clutch cover is excellent. He has put in an insert and secured it into place
There is minimal work to do to get it ready for painting.
Does any one know where i can get the glass window for the oil indicator as i think i will be lucky to get the other one out?
Hydraulic clutch plate was 120 euro and i could have made one better myself, so i think i will.
He did add in 3 alloy wheels - i think these are for the water pump - Any ideas?
Thanks

Search for the actual part code online as it's used by several models of motorbike not just the RD - I've just bought one from www.cmsnl.com

Hi Nick,
Yes they are new - But I managed to buy them second hand from advertising on the forum.
Prior to this i was looking around the uk but only found the carbs themselves @ approx £140 each and this was not including pods or cables
The link below show the ones i managed to get inclusive of the full kit.

Hope this helps.
If you do decide to sell on the 3MA tank etc i may be interested!!
Thanks Ade

Gearbox removal is easy, when engine is out of the frame. But in order to disassembly and reassembly the input shaft, you need access to a hydraulic press. Input second gear is press fit on the input shaft.Ade SYM wrote:
