Re: My project (1GE)
Nice toes, are they also original Yamaha?
What type of bolt is the upper ignition coil bracket bolt?
Acc. to the parts manual it should be the same as for the YPVS servo bracket and this is a yellow hexagon head bolt.
Maybe this bolt is also wrong in my bike?
The confusion is getting worse and worse
Is the small plain washer on your brake fluid reservoir mounting bolt captive?
If yes, there are definitely differences in production.
From which bike is it coming? 1GE or 47X?
Mine are both 1GE, (number ~1500 and ~3500)

The high cost of parts means no money left for shoesNice toes, are they also original Yamaha?
My upper coil bracket bolt is a flat head like the bolt which holds the YPVS servo to the bracket, but it is bright zinc.
The brake fluid reservoir mounting bolt washer is not captive on my 47x bikes.

Re: My project (1GE)
No CAD progress today...
Just playing with my new toy:
50T press
Not the most expensive model but good stuff for the money.
Pressing out wheel bearings? Feels like pushing the finger into warm butter...
Wide enough for 17" wheels with tires or up to 21" rims without tire and strong enough to rebuild crankshafts.

That means 97301 is bright silver zinc?!jackson.40 wrote: My upper coil bracket bolt is a flat head like the bolt which holds the YPVS servo to the bracket, but it is bright zinc.
97302 is the same bolt, just yellow.
Then my YPVS bracket to frame mounting bolt is wrong (it`s yellow)...
Edit:
Sorry - it`s evening... Didn`t read "but".
Checked the YPVS servo to bracket bolts, flat hexagon head yellow on both bikes.
But no bracket to frame bolt on my second bike as the servo was in a box and not on the bike

Re: My project (1GE)
Thanks for the picture.
Everything original on my bike
Do you know the correct numbers?
They made a lot of mistakes in the parts manual

Re: My project (1GE)
On the right side - the 2 nuts for the rear brake master cylinder...
On the picture they are silver zinc - my 2 are in bad condition, but on the contact surface where is no corrosion they are slightly yellow?!
It would make sense that they are silver, all other 90185 nuts are also silver.
Edit:
Checked my spare parts bike.
One again with a light yellow shine and the second one is clearly yellow zinc.

Re: My project (1GE)
As written in my edit - i found a wonderful yellow one behind the rear master cylinder on my spare parts bike.
Edit2:
Sorry, too much CAD toda, I`m confused
90185-08106:
I found 6 of them, 5 have a yellow shine and yellow areas in the thread, one is clearly golden.
90185-10115 (footrest):
Has also the same yellow shine.

Re: My project (1GE)
Too much other work this year...
But now i have started to work on the RD500 project again.
Currently i`m learning Microsoft Access to build up a database - Excel is not made for what i want.
If the Database works i can collect every info to the parts and even more important - find it again very easy
The next step will be new zinc on all parts, therefor i need the database to find the correct part number to each bolt/bracket again.
