Hi,
Does anyone have a part number for the right angled little brackets that attach the rear of the belly pan to the bottom of the bottom frame rails? I can't find them on the microfiche.
Cheers
Steve

I don't think there is a part number for them. They came with the belly pan and only for 47X bikes.

I have a left one only. Are they different then!? Is it actually a good idea to fit them? If Yamaha didn't fit them to the 1GE, maybe they were causing cracks in the fairing.

They are mostly useless and I wouldn't worry about not having them. You aren't missing anything by not using them. They likely created more problems than they solved.

I've removed them from 47X pans installed on 1GE bikes.

I did these for someone back in 2016.

Thanks. I won't worry about them then. What about the fixings at the front of the fairing side panels to frame? I'm tempted to leave them off too. My fairing is all repaired and resprayed. I can't help thinking that a lot of the cracking issues are because the fairing is held too rigidly.

I would leave the lower mounts. That is a lot of plastic and weight to have supported by the upper fairing and one screw on the side panel. Remove the bottom mount and you may see cracks at the upper fairing bolt holes when the whole mess tries to rotate forward around that one screw in the side.
