Whose tail is that? An Airtech unit? I had something similar years ago - it pretty much needed custom uprights to the seat bolts above exhaust hanging bolts and drilled cross bar.

No it's not an airtech unit. All it says is Made in Japan on the inside. I saw a couple on bikes at Barber a couple years ago, but didn't pay much attention on how they mounted them. Doesn't seem to big of a deal as the back will mount right to the sub frame and the seat I can get some rubber bushings for that and I can machine some nice brackets for behind the seat area. Just wanted to see what others have done with this unit. Mostly need seat options. L8R Mark

It may be made by Kitaco. I looked at their site but it appears that, if it is the same company, they don't make RZ stuff anymore. It was probably 1985 when I mounted mine, so I guess I don't remember how I mounted it. I can take a look though.

The seat I have came with the glass. It is an L shape and the seat and back are a one piece base. There is a hook or tab that captures the top of the storage hole, connected to the base at the top of the L. A single piece of Velcro aligns with the piece in your photos, to hold it from slipping in the front.
