Re: Help to identify seat and fairing.
Hi Calle
That is a nice piece of history
I think this maybe the bike Steve Parrish used in the F1 series in 1985.
If you PM me the engine number i can confirm this.
I spoke with Dave Johnson about this bike and he told me he used Yamaha UK's pre-production bike to check the TZ500 ignition would fit one lunchtime when know one was about!
This is what was planned for the Yamaha Mitsui bike Steve Parrish would ride. The engine was built by Dave Johnson using TZ internals.

Re: Help to identify seat and fairing.
Well done to get hold of that bike...theres a pic of it in John Robinsons two stroke book.
Amazes me that bikes like that are left to rot in a dark damp place.....good luck with your resto!!!
Thanks for posting the article up Steve

Re: Help to identify seat and fairing.
The seats are from the period OW53 OW54 YZR500 (1981). OW60/69 seat has a slight curve in the side skirts. The fairing could be a period TZ500H/J or OW53,54.
Either way, Johnny has molds for the seat and you should be able to source reasonable TZ500 copy main fairings - but I am willing to bet if the main fairings can be saved Johnny might be interested in making a mold for it if it is proper YZR500 OW53/OW54 kit rather than the "close enough TZ500" one.
Great bike and good luck with the restoration.

Re: Help to identify seat and fairing.
Hi Calle,
Very interesting and nice bike you have their.
As mentioned above, I have got molds for the seat unit you have got.
As for your fairing, sorry but I dont have molds for that however, please send me some more photos to my email address below so I can see if I and repair it and then make molds from it.
I am sure I can salvage it but would need to see a few more photos please.
Many thanks
Best regards
Johnny C.

Thanks.
The bike was bought from England by Micke Pallander for the Swedish 500 serie, I guess it was around -86.
I think I bought it 88-89 from the owner after Pallander.
Since I retired from racing It has been storage in the garage.
