no kill switch

On my build I have done away with the left side handlebar switch gear and operate everything off the right switch. What used to be the engine kill switch is now the horn and I will just use the ignition switch to kill the engine. Will this cause a problem? Does the ignition switch need to be left on while killing the engine before switching off at the ignition switch? I'm thinking that maybe the PV needs power after the engine has stopped to allow it to close, whereas if I kill the engine with the ignition switch, it cuts power to the PV before the engine actually stops.

I mostly use my Ignition to kill all my bikes, For years!. I barely use the kill switch. Never had any problems,

Yes, you can remove the kill switch.
If you stop the engine with ignition switch, PV stays in close position ( assuming you do this from idle ... ) because of power loss.
If you stop the engine with kill switch, PV box detects that engine is not running and moves to the open position.
At electrical startup, the PV box first goes to the open position, whatever position it is in, and from there starts a open -> close -> open cycle.
So don't worry about it.

this is great info thanks guys. would've been a bit of hassle to wire in a kill switch at this stage.
I noticed recently in the hand book for one of my other bikes that you're supposed to kill the engine with the ign switch. The "kill switch" seems to be for emergencies??
