Stator Re-winding + pick up

#1 Post by Vin » Tue May 17, 2016 4:09 pm

Hi All,

Anyone know of a company in the UK that can re-wind my stator and also supply pick up's?

Or any upgrade or replacement ideas that I have missed that I could use?

Hi Vin,

I used West Country Windings for the stator - I'm not aware of another pickup being available - I wonder if Zeeltronic have anything suitable ?
It might be worth asking West Country Windings if they can supply you with something suitable ?

The pick up can be replaced by parts from either Zeeltronic or Ignitech.

http://ignitech.cz/en/vyrobky/accessori ... ick-up.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Only important thing: don't mess up vr plus and minus side. The aftermarket parts have different colors ....

Vin,

Did you get your stator fixed? I'm asking, as my stator failed last week. I'm now using my spare, but it would be nice having the defect one fixed.

Rgds.

If I had a signature, it would be good.

Hi Steen,

No I haven't yet as I too have used my spare, I have been quoted £150 from http://www.westcountrywindings.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and I guess postage will be on top but not done anything as yet.

Hope this helps. regards Vin

Hi again,

What about these chaps?:

http://www.bbbikeshop.co.uk/acatalog/Ya ... ators.html

If you scroll 2/3 down, they quote a RD500 rewind for 70 pounds sterling. That's a bargain, if they do it properly!

Probably worth a punt at that price, may give them a go!
