spark plugs

#1 Post by neilstar » Sun Apr 17, 2016 2:27 am

hello, new to this site, so I thank you in advance for any input you have and apologise for any stupid dumb questions I may ask,

I have just purchased a 1984 RZ500 53G Australia , barn find, all there

trying to get it going, running , manual says BR9HS NGK spark plugs,

that's not what it has in it, I have done a little research on spark plugs and seems as though a BR9Hs has only a 12.7mm thread reach,
and the plugs that are in it are a BR9ES which are a 19mm thread reach ,

having those longer/wrong plugs in it cant be good?

so my question is can you please tell me the exact plugs it should have??

Cheers Neil

BR9HS is the standard plug. One of my bikes came with ES plugs also. Lucky enough they didn't do any damage
