New connectors

#1 Post by RZVTokyo » Mon Apr 20, 2015 9:33 am

I found a shop which makes replacement harnesses for the RZV500. I was able to purchase new connectors. The owner wouldn't sell me the harness side connectors. He told me to buy a new harness if I wanted the harness side connectors.

This shop also has different versions of the RZV harness. One version had an accessory outlet.

Great news ! - do you have the contact details for the shop ? - are they OK with sending goods abroad ?

Thanks.

Hi Paul,

The shop is a small sole-proprietorship. The owner had invested a lot of time and money in recreating the connectors. He said that he would ideally like to sell the set (which I've pictured above) to people who purchase a harness. It's so that the purchaser would be able to restore the connectors for the components(YPVS controller, etc) to compliment the new harness. He also sells the connectors individually.

The owner only speaks Japanese and does not sell overseas. The price for an RZV harness is approx. USD400.00 and USD40.00 for the set of connectors.

It would be great if we could organize a group purchase for harnesses and connectors to support the shop. If anyone is interested, please let me know. If enough people are interested, I'll start a group purchase thread.

The owner also said that he could re-create a harness if he has a sample. (ex. RZ500 or RD500 versions)

The shop also sells the two throttle cables (47X-26260-00 and 47X-26260-50). They are a little pricey at approx. USD300.00 for the set or USD160 for one.

Are you interested in a harness or just the connectors?

Regards,

Shayne

I'm going to order the following parts next Saturday (Sept. 24). Thanks to the members who have purchased harnesses, the owner of the shop is becoming more open to selling the connector sets. At first, he wasn't happy about selling only the connector sets.

Here's what I have:

BIG GUY
52X harness (1ea)
connector set (1ea)

WOLFGANG
connector set (2ea)

MARCO1902
connector set (1ea)

RUBBER FINGERS
YPVS controller box connector (1ea)

RIDGE
stator connector (1ea)
YPVS controller box connector (1ea)
CDI connector (2ea)
YPVS servo connector (3ea)

Prices:
Harness USD440.00
Connector sets USD55.00
Misc connectors (will have to check but should not be over USD5.00 per connector

To Wolfgang, Big Guy, Ridge, Rubber Fingers and Marco1902, please confirm the parts and quantities I've listed above.

Hi, will there be another group purchase in the near future? Im after a connector set to enable me to wire up my Zeeltronic without cutting the standard loom. Regards, Steve.

I just contacted Shayne about the same connectors for my Zeeltronic.
He will be back at it mid January.
Hope that helps.
