Nick at Two Stroke Race Lab can fix it. He can also install DIP switches so you can change the open/close rpms for the valves.

Got to ask !

I sent my YPVS-box to Nick, mostly to check it but also for
the dip-switch mod.

But I don't have the org figures for when the YPVS start open and when fullt open.
Also don't know what figures (when to start open YPVS) is recommended if you want better midrange power.

Any suggestions ??

Stock 500 controller is 6150-7950.

Many options for open-close points.

John,

Have you had a chance to play with the settings on your 500 much? Do you think it's worth it for your riding style?

I have them for my 350s right now Bill and haven't had a chance to test yet. Just ran out of time with so many projects on the go here. Others I've talked to have had positive comments. The RZ350 has 3 different controllers from Yamaha. I have experimented with the different stock controllers and there is an obvious difference between them with the 86+ controller being the best for my needs. I'll soon be sending a TZR250 and RZ500 controller to Nick.

This is the 350 (1UA) controller I had done last summer.

:smt064 I think that if you start comparing torque figures, you will find that any two-stroke will beat any four-stroke (same size and hp-output) at comparable rpm's. Start with RD500 and YZF R6

Hi all.

Just got mine repaired by Nick at 2t-racelabs and dip switches installed.
Very good job.
