Zeeltronic wiring query?

#1 Post by hector1000s » Sun Oct 14, 2012 6:42 am

Hi
I have now fitted the zeel cdi/pv controller, i have one query with the Gray wire, should i connect it to the Orange/Black wire?
my bike is standard rd500 UK spec does not have a TPS!
The wiring diagram says "if TPS not used then connectO/B andGr. Program only 100% ignition curve" Can anyone explain this to me please??

Basically when you don't have a TPS, you join those wires together. It tells the zeeltronic that you have 100% throttle all the time.

So when you join the wires, you only configure the 100% curve values in the zeeltronic, because the other values are not used.

From memory, when you use a TPS with Zeeltronic there are 3 curves that you can configure for different throttle openings.

No problem.
There should be a TPS value displayed on the programmer when the bike is turned on I think.
So if you see 100% there all the time, you've done it right.

I've done the same thing with mine now because I don't have TPS any more since I dumped the injection.

Hi.
I'm pretty much doing the same at the mo.

As I'm thick.....and also "Dont" have a TPS.....can anyone just confirm......
"The Orange/Black from the Zeeltronic CONNECTS directly to the Grey"......and does not connect to the servo at all?

It "DOESN'T" connect to the "Yellow/Blue" at the servo and then run a feed to the grey??.

Correct??

If no TPS, then O/B gets connected to Gr & Y/Bl on servo.

I.e. The Y/Bl on servo always gets connected to the O/B on the Zeel, but if no TPS, then just connect the Gr to those colours as well.

Remember to program 100% in the set-up.

Rgds.
