He does have a reputation for messing around and poor communication though - however when I eventually got my brake hoses they were very good quality - 2 hoses were missing and he just wouldn't talk to me when I tried to chase him on the matter.

So you have to decide how you feel about using this guy - he does have RD500 hoses because he used originals from me for the patterns.

Cheers
Paul

HEL Performance.
Very good quality and you can personnalize your colors.

I have the HEL braided but black coated lines with plated ends on my bike, they look near stock but of course, the braking performance is better with a firmer lever Vs the old originals.

Interesting to see two votes for HEL. Thats what I have on the bike right now. I'd probably be tempted to keep them but for two things, 1, theyre red, 2, theyre a screw fitting and that's illegal on our roads so wont pass inspection.

Hi Paul

Did these brake hoses come with olive green fittings?

Cheers

Hi Steve,

Not normally done in olive - but he got them dark olive green plated before putting them together for me - he is good to deal with in some ways - Like this request for example - but I seemed to have to chase him quite a bit - so patience is needed. Perhaps you could get the fittings from him - get them plated to your satisfaction the return them to him to be built up ?

The quality was very good.

Cheers
Paul

Paul, which two hoses did he 'forget' to make? My issue is that the only OEM hose I have is the rear, so having 2 missing would be like 'not worth bothering' Im thinking. hmm...

I was missing the rear hose - I had ordered a couple of sets - the front hoses arrived eventually - there had been some delay getting the fittings olive plated - but basically it took way too long and the missing hoses and refusal to talk to me insisting they’d been sent was annoying- sad really because ultimately the hoses were lovely quality- I find a lot of motorcycle businesses have good products but aren’t very professional - this is one of them - it is in my opinion worth the risk and effort to get these hoses though

Thanks for the info, In my stash of hoses I actually found I had enough hoses to make a set for my 500 in stainless braided, but I will progress these as well as Id love to have it looking OEM.
