Rzv frame

Hi guys new to here just purchased a rzv500 after owning an original Marlboro rd back 30yrs ago .a few things I’d like to get clarified is the ally frame actually lighter or is it a bit of a myth also the exhaust cans read the same code so the right can reads upside down is this original

I weighed both frames, Both were bare, no bolts, swingarms etc.

10LB difference.....

It is lighter and seems strong enough for track use

He bought a RZV, not a RZ and an alloy frame

The suspension linkage bolt etc. was what I was thinking.

Yes, all the parts that are specific to the RZV version.
And that's the bike he bought ( at least he said ).

Looks like Paul was thinking he just bought an RZV frame, when he actually bought a complete RZV.
