RD350 YPVS front discs do fit. I have a pair on an RD500 wheel now that is for project here. RD500 disc thickness is 7.5 mm. RD350 YPVS disc thickness is 5.0 mm (1983-85) or 4.5 mm (1986-90).

Hi bungerlowbill:
So a rear brake disc for yamaha yzf600r thundercat will fit directly on the RD500 and can also be road approved ?
For example. such:

Now I have just spoken with the local road supervision.
The message was:
If the MC is from before 1990, then there is nothing in the database about brake discs.
You may not use data from, for example, Hayn's manuals.
The data must be verified by the manufacturer, maybe the original manual is okay, but I do not have it.
Thus, the viewer will read only the minimum thickness of the brake disc,
and if it's OK, the MC will not be discarded due to this.

Are there any problems with brake calipers associated with thin discs, for example. 4mm ?
Normal minimum thickness is 7mm.
